Melissa Penaflor

Melissa Penaflor is a dedicated professional with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University, Los Angeles. She brings a well-rounded background in customer service, administration, and the legal field — demonstrating her strong work ethic and commitment to service.

Melissa began her career working part-time in the retail industry, where she developed strong communication and multitasking skills. She then advanced into leadership and administrative roles as a Salon Manager and Front Desk Coordinator for a dental specialty office, further strengthening her organizational and client service abilities.

She later joined the Orange County Public Defender’s Office, starting in a clerical role and eventually being promoted to Investigative Assistant. During her six-year tenure, Melissa supported attorneys in case preparation, investigations, and client relations, gaining valuable insight into the criminal justice system.

After her years of public service, Melissa transitioned to the private sector to work with Attorney Robert Heaven at Prudential Advocate. In her current role, she applies her analytical skills and dedication to advocacy, continuing to provide client-focused support with professionalism, integrity, and care.
